Acrylic Is Delicate
Laser-cut acrylic looks great off the bed but scratches and clouds if mishandled. How to store and care for laser-cut acrylic projects keeps the shine that made the piece sell in the first place.
Care is mostly handling and storage, not special gear.

Store It Safe
Keep sheets and parts flat, not leaning, to avoid warp and pressure marks. Separate layers with tissue or foam so edges do not rub. Keep acrylic out of direct sun to slow any yellowing.
Dust-free storage also means less cleaning before sale.
Clean Without Scratches
Use a soft microfiber and mild soapy water; never paper towels, which scratch. For fingerprints, a dedicated acrylic cleaner works. Buff gently, do not rub hard.
Peel the protective film only at finishing, not at cutting, so the surface stays guarded until the last step.
Protect the Edge
Laser edges are smooth but can chip if stacked loosely. For shipping, pad corners and avoid heavy items on top. A clear display box sells the piece and protects it.
FAQ
Why does it cloud? Abrasive cleaning or sun; use soft cloth and shade.
