A Code That Sells Itself
A laser-engraved QR code turns a product into a link to your site, menu, or video. Laser engraving QR codes for small businesses is a low-cost add-on with real marketing value, because the code is permanent and on-brand.
Wood, leather, and acrylic all take a clean, scannable code with the right settings.

Make It Scannable
Size matters more than depth. A code under about 15 mm square is hard for phone cameras. Aim for 20 mm or larger, with quiet space around it so the reader locks on.
Use a generator that exports a clean vector or high-res bitmap, then engrave at low power so the modules stay distinct. A blurred code will not scan.
Material Settings
On wood, light power with multiple passes keeps the code crisp without burning the surrounding grain. On leather, a single gentle pass marks cleanly. On acrylic, etch the surface so the contrast reads.
Always test-scan with two phones before shipping. A code that looks fine but will not scan is worthless.
Where It Pays
Branded giveaways, product tags, and restaurant menus all benefit. A maker tagging every item with a code builds a direct link to reorders and socials.
FAQ
Will it scan on dark wood? Use a lighter wood or etch deep enough for contrast.
How big should it be? At least 20 mm square with margin.
Link the Product
An engraved QR code is a permanent, on-brand link from product to customer. Size it right, contrast it well, and test-scan every batch. Our Laser Cutter range marks wood and leather; for larger tags see HF Laser.
