Why is laser equipment used in packaging production?

Laser used in the packaging industry for:

Perforated plastic film or packaging.

Cut plastic film for slicing or contour cutting.

Partially cut plastic film to create easy to open packaging.

Why do we need to perform laser perforation?

Laser perforation is the process of making many small holes in a plastic film. The purpose of punching plastic film and then processing (converting) it into packaging is as follows:

● Because the packaging atmosphere can be controlled by adjusting the Gas exchange in the packaging, the packaging performance and permeability can be improved.

● Adjustments can be used to improve product quality and extend product shelf life. Another application is the ability to compress large packaging, making it occupy a smaller volume.

Due to its high accuracy and low setup cost, lasers are used to perform perforation. Due to the lack of tools or any contact with materials that can cause wear and tear, costs can be reduced.

Using laser punching can easily open packaging

Providing easy to open packaging is a competitive advantage. The use of lasers can achieve the appropriate processing depth in packaging.

The ability to accurately determine the depth of the notch can cut through certain layers in the laminate without interference in the second layer. It can be cut according to their respective packaging and purpose.
