Screening is used for the screen printing of plastic and metal materials. Screen printing is known in full as silk-screen printing. In short, the principle of screen printing is to use photosensitive materials for screen printing (so that the screen holes in the screen printing section are through-holes, rather than blocking the screen holes in the graphic section). In printing, the ink is squeezed by a squeegee and transferred to the substrate through the screen holes in the graphic section, creating the same graphic as the original. It is easy to see from this sentence that to do screen printing you must make a film stencil. You can also make a film stencil by understanding the film stencil as the negative film of an old-fashioned camera.

Screen printing is also brighter, but there are some disadvantages - printing company materials can wear out over time. In addition, screen printing is four-colour printing, meaning that the content of a screen print is usually four colours. Screen printing cannot give a gradient effect, which also depends on its process.

The laser engraving process uses a high intensity focused laser generated by a laser to oxidise the material at the focal point.

The basic principle is that the deeper material is exposed by the evaporation of surface material, or by light energy causing a chemical-physical change in the surface material, or by burning off certain material in the text, engraving marks, or by light energy burning off certain material to produce the desired corroded graphics.

As an example, I want to make a keyboard with text in blue, green, red and grey, with a white key body. Laser engraving, first spray oil, blue, green, red and grey. Be careful not to spray the other keys so that they appear blue, green etc. and then spray a layer of white. The whole white keyboard is written all over the keyboard, with blue and green wrapped around it. This can be laser engraved, using laser technology and button drawing, in dealing with the letter A, engraved white oil, or blue or green reveal white oil, so that the formation of a different colour letter button, while if you want to be transparent, using PC or PMMA, spray a layer of oil, engraved font part, the following will be transparent.

Laser engraving is not the same as silk-screening. The laser method is used to engrave the laser onto the surface of the sample, in the form of engraving with a slate. There will be a sunken feeling to the hand. Compared to silkscreen, laser engraving has the advantage that the engraved logo information will not wear out over time.
